‘Dedicated to what we feel at night

but don’t utter during the day.’

Preface of The Kiss of a Poet

Judas Was Not the Only Betrayer. All Poets Lie.

Poetry that strips away romantic illusions of life, to confront the absolute truth hidden beneath the verses.

Throughout my career, the words coming out of my pen have taken many shapes and forms - short stories, poetry, historical fiction, folklore epics, etc.

Somewhere along the road, I forgot I had a pile of unpublished poems - 33 to be exact - that waited to see the sun’s light.

‘Juda’s 33 coins. Juda’s kiss!’ I thought back then, and so The Kiss of a Poet was born.

Book cover with a night sky and a reflection of the moon on water. Title in Greek: 'The Friend of a Poet' by Stelios Nikolaou.
